My name is Tammi, I've been cooking since I was a child in the 80's and I've been plant based since 2016.

I wasn't a very good cook for many years but I improved over time with experimentation at home and picking up tips working in restaurant kitchens from time to time. When I decided to go 100% plant based I enrolled in several classes at plant based cookery schools.

Since then I've owned and run my own plant based restaurants in Myanmar and Thailand and worked as a chef in several professional kitchens in the UK.

Now I can confidently say I'm a chef and no longer just a cook.

How long do I have access to the programme & when does it start?

Enrolling gives you access to the core course and also all modules added over time, until a point you haven't logged in for over two years (you'll get plenty of notifications and if you want to retain access, all you'll need to do is log in). You can start as soon as you receive login details after checkout. The core fundamentals course will be ready for you straight away and many more further modules will be added as the course and community grow.

Can't I learn all of this on Youtube?

Probably. You can learn anything on YouTube and I believe it's an awesome resource. But it's also now so vast that to find the most useful information you have to trawl through so many videos and with no guarantee you will find exactly what you need in good time. Plus the most successful channels will likely not answer any questions you may have. So I think, just like recipe books and blogs, the plant based cooking channels are best used as inspiration and entertainment but you will sometimes pick up some tips and tricks too, the information will just be pretty piecemeal.

Do I need to have XYZ before starting?

Ideally access to a kitchen of some description, even if that's a makeshift and very minimal one. In time I'll be adding modules on cooking in a live-in vehicle, out camping and in one room living spaces, which should give you an indication of how little you need. You will also need some basic utensils and equipment but the core course is really more about the fundamentals of creating desirable food so you can learn and implement what you learn with virtually nothing!
